Bamboo 0.8-Inch Reversible Go Game Set with Double Convex Yunzi Stones and Jujube Wood Bowls - Classic Strategy Board Game

The Reversible Go Board (Goban) features a 19x19 playing field on one side and a 13x13 on the other. The 19x19 side is intended for standard gameplay, while the 13x13 is great for learning the rules and fundamentals, as well as for quick games. Measuring 18.6 x 17.4 x 0.8" (47.3 x 44.2 x 2cm), the board incorporates Chinese standard size grids of 22 x 23.5mm.

The Bamboo Board is crafted from solid strips of bamboo, pressed together one layer at a time. Bamboo is renowned for its beauty and durability, in addition to being an eco-friendly and sustainable material. While the wood grain may vary slightly from the photos, a protective felt sleeve is included with the board.

The Double Convex Stones, known as Yunzi, have been produced for nearly a thousand years in the Yunnan Province of southern China. These stones are not only visually appealing but also have a satisfying heavy feel and a deep, resonant 'snap' quality. They are the official stones used in all professional Chinese Weiqi (Go) tournaments. Each stone measures approximately 9.2 x 21 mm (0.36 x 0.83").

The Set of 2 Wild Jujube Bowls, also referred to as Chinese date wood, are made from a hard and sturdy material. Each deep, naturally grained bowl measures 5.9 x 5.9 x 4.3" (15 x 15 x 10.8 cm). The set also includes securing bowl straps and a vinyl carrying case.

Accompanying the set is the beginner classic booklet, "The Way to Go" by Karl Baker, which explains the essential rules and strategies of the game of Go.
